Born in São José dos Campos, São Paulo state, Brazil.
I had the luck of come from a very supportive family which always encourage me to "follow my dreams", specially the study-related ones.
Science was my favorite subject in school, and learning about how the nature works is something that made my eyes shining!
Learning is what makes me move in life! From how to crochet amigurumis, to very deep scientific discussions. I am a curious person about languages, native in Portuguese, English speaker and I make some effort to "parler Français". Learning more languages (specially Italian and German) is one of the many topics in my wishlist, as well as playing the piano.
I am a mother, of the sweetest little girl in the whole world, and I enjoy the baby universe. We read small books, dance, talk a lot and sing together. I use baby songs as a benefit for myself to improve my English and learn French.
I am a dreamer! Passionate about London, as a 5-years old child I started to talk a lot about it, when I saw it in the TV, magazines and so on, I used to tell my parents "bye, I'm going to London". Which was completely out of our reality! This passion and curiosity increased a lot when I "received my Hogwarts letter", got to know about Harry Potter and got crazy about everything that involved his magic! By coincidence, I started to listen to Coldplay, which quite easily turned into my favorite band, for just later realize that everything which is amazing is... londoner! When I was a teenager, my mother used all my obssession about London as a strategy to encourage me to study English (alone, at home, as paying for a course was not an option). She used to say: "how will you visit London without speaking English?" I finally made my dream, visited London for the first time in 2015 and was so impressed by the city, that could not sleep for three days after the adventure. Thanks to my post-doc, I had the opportunity to come back, and I really hope that one day I'll have the name of the city of my dreams in my home address!
I am curious, like to visit new places and listen about new cultures, different points of view and habits, and always try to learn something, from everything, even from bad experiences. For feeling happy, I need to feel that the environment in which I am involved allows me to "personally grow up".
I am so grateful for everyone and every place that I had the opportunity to meet and be so far, and I see that many things in my life and career are connected. I will always remember my origins, my story and why I am where I currently am.
As a catholic person, I want to finish with: "And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose." Romans 8:28
Looking forward to what comes next!
PS: I'll never refuse a visit to Disneyland, if I'm on holidays!
